This course has been designed to meet the requirements of STCW section VI/1 and is based on the guidelines of IMO Model Course 1.21.
Compliance with the Code of Safe Working Practices and Survive at sea in the event of ship abandonment. Minimize the risk of fire and maintain a state of readiness to respond to any emergency situations on board a vessel.
This course is designed for the training of all seafarers in any capacity wishing to pursue a career at sea. This learning opportunity is designed in such a way as to achieve the Survival at Sea competencies as described in the STCW and SAMSA Codes respectively.
